What if

Business Model TriangleImage by Alex Osterwalder via Flickr

you could open a business that had low overhead and very little expense over what you have already paid out, would you be interested? Advertising is minimal and often times shared. You can do it from home or an office if you desire. You can take the kids to school and pick them up if you want. You can make 6 figures with good "smart" business models that are of virtually no cost to you. If done right there free and given to you in abundance with great joy by the giver. Want a bigger business for the same investment of time and initial money? Ok, that's done. Or do you want a smaller, but just as rewarding business. Ok, that's done. Are you a go getter? This business is a perfect fit. Are you a detailed thinker? This business is a perfect fit. Do you need people to give a bit of a push or pull every now and again? That's available. Do you like to charge around with your hair on fire and start each day motivated only asking for help when needed? This is the business for you. How about, 24/7 training at the touch of a finger? This business has it. Do you like people and making them happy? This business does that.
Getting the picture? This business has something for everyone from every walk of life. Do you want in? Here's the best part of all. Your already in the business.
You are a REALTOR!
Just a reminder of why you got into the business in the first place. Stay focused and succeed like you originally intended to. Forget the negative and focus on the positive and I will met you at the top.

Fathers Day

Fathers DayImage by Mark Emery Photography via Flickr

We hope your fathers day was great. On fathers day every year we have a chance to reflect on how great our fathers are and how much we have learned from them. My father has been gone for many years now and not a day goes by I don't use something he taught me. I hope your memories are as great and warm as mine.

Purpose

the house... the tree... the stormImage by Bern@t via Flickr

"If you are given a sense of purpose, recognize it, then accept it."
~Terry Miller
I talk often about having a passion for what you do. If you add the passion you have to a purpose, all of a sudden you have an unbeatable combination for success. An example of this is the fact that I have a passion for recruiting, training and educating. The purpose of which is to make as many people successful as possible. In helping as many people as possible, I believe I will have personal growth and rewards.
Simply put, having both a passion and purpose gives you the edge on the competition day in and day out.

I am having fun!!

Well, I am at the mid point of my second month at Keller Williams in Tyler, Texas. I am having a blast to say the least. The agents in the office have taken to the training and motivation so well, it even amazes me. Recruiting is coming along well and we are constructing a new location. Ok, it’s not all roses, there are a few folks dealing with issues with the new facility, but as a whole, things are great.

The longer I am here, the more I realize that Real Estate Agents are pretty much the same everywhere. From hard working to lazy to whiners, they are all represented. We have probably the best mix of talent at this office that I have ever seen. I consider myself lucky and honored to be at the helm. Homes in Tyler, Texas are very affordable and an agent should find the makings of a great career here.

Thanks to all for your support.

Be a Winner

I have a question for you. How do you wake up every morning? Are you a grouch? Or, are you happy and ready for a great day? You do know you have a choice, don't you? I choose to get up and welcome the day and you should to. You can do more business before 10:00 AM than you realize. So make a positive choice and you will beat the competition every time. If you make a positive choice every chance you get during the day you will continually beat the competition month in and month out.

Always remember:

"Winners and Losers are pre-determined but only the Winner knows it."

Determine exactly what you want or need and then set out to get it. Yes the road will curve or fork or even be blocked at times but always move forward. Go thru, around, over or whatever you need to do to stay on course. All successful people have one thing in common. Failure is never considered. They only see the success that will be theirs down the road.

Also remember for a home in Tyler Texas call Keller Williams Tyler.

Define your own Business!!

"There is a train coming! You can get on the train or you can stand on the tracks! It doesn't really matter, the train is still coming."
~Terry Miller

"I will not let the competition define my business!"
~Terry Miller

It is amazing how many business people and in my case Realtors, let the competition tell them, this or that won't work here. What a bunch of nonsense! I am sure the competition said the same thing when Wal-Mart or Home Depot came to town. Now that very competition is dead and gone.
Never listen to the competitors who have only their own interest in mind.

Be Bold, be brave, be innovative and SUCCEED!!!!

Offer More!

One thing that you as a business person should always focus on is other services or products that you can offer your customers. You see there are front end types of products that get you started or “introduced” to your customer. Well, “NOW WHAT?” Of course you will email them and talk to them but are there other services or products you could provide them with that you could profit on? This is called backend sales and can be more profitable than the first or “front end” sale in some cases. For example, on more than one occasion we have sold homes to executives that were coming into our market to take over a business and expand or grow it.
During the home buying process it was learned that they would be looking for commercial space in the area for expansion. In every case they had commercial Realtors helping them but giving them terrible service. We would begin to send them commercial properties in their email. You guessed it; we sold them a home and a building. Guess which one paid the best? Yes, the building of course. If you have an investor buying up property you might ask that investor who will manage the properties for them? He might not have thought of all the prate falls involved in property management.
The thing most Realtors fail to realize is that our customers are like us. They simply want good service they can understand. They don’t want or need several Realtors in their life when one can handle it. Pay close attention and be that one.
